Getting to Know Our Pastor
Pastor Kimberly Strain is a native of Macon, Georgia, where she was born and raised. She came to know the Lord under the ministry of the Late Suff. Bishop Larry Clarence Dunning Sr., the late pastor of Pentecostal Temple in Macon, Georgia. She was baptized in the Holy Spirit in May of 1976. Two years later she was inspired by the Holy Spirit to attend Bible College in Ohio where she did ministerial training.
While attending a retreat conference in Zanesville, Ohio, Pastor Strain met Minister Harry Strain whom she latter married in November 24, 1979. To their union was born five children, who are now fulfilling their own personal career goals.
Pastor Strain holds a B.A. in Religious Studies & Black World Studies, from Ohio Wesleyan University. She is currently enrolled at the Methodist Theological School of Ohio in Delaware, Ohio, where she is enrolled in a Masters in Counseling program. She has worked in many capacities for nearly twenty years at Ohio Wesleyan University, where she currently work as Coordinator of the Curriculum Resource Center.
She is founder and senior pastor of Outreach Christian Center in Delaware, Ohio, which, was started in October of 1998. Pastor Strain feels fortunate and blessed to be assisted in ministry by her wonderful husband Minister Harry Strain. It is her up-most desire to be an obedient servant of God, and that one day she will hear the Lord say: “thou good and faithful servant.”
